

KFTRA organises and runs various working groups and sub committees to tackle specific issues. All our meetings are open meetings and are attended by tenants and residents from across Kirklees. If you would like to attend any of the meetings, please let us know so we can arrange to welcome you.
Safer, Cleaner, Greener Working Group looks at the environmental issues on our estates. The group includes tenants and residents as well as representatives from Leisure Services and Estate Caretaking. The group organise an annual conference to consult with the wider tenant movement. Monitoring and Development Working Group oversees the monitoring of housing services through questionnaires and surveys to our 500 strong Speak Easy Panel.
Quality Homes Working Group monitors the new repairs contract in Kirklees and all the major investment schemes in Kirklees including the new doors programme.
Living in Flats Working Group has been instrumental in campaigning for new floor covering for communal areas. They also look at other issues affecting tenants and residents in flat such as communal cleaning charges.
Publicity Sub Committee works on promoting the work of the Federation through Hometruths, Press Releases and visiting community events and galas.
Equality and Diversity Sub Committee strives for equality of service for all users and is involved in many council and voluntary partnerships and multi agency groups.
Training Sub Committee oversees the National Certificate in Tenant Participation run at the Technical College. The group plan and deliver an annual training programme of 10 sessions per year for all tenants and residents in Kirklees.
